Product Manager (Operations)

Are you a product or operations professional who loves being the person who makes things work? The one who spots the problem in the data first, fixes the process so it doesn’t come back, and gets the right people talking? If so, keep reading!

I’m partnering with a well-established, fast-growing global consumer technology business. Its products are sold through some of the biggest retail names in Europe and beyond. Its global operations are run from the Mid-West, and because of continued growth it’s adding a Product Manager to the team.

Why this role is different

This isn’t a “keep the lights on” job. You’ll own how the product and service offering performs day to day, from customer care and field support to rolling out new software and services. You’ll also have real scope to reshape how things are done. The business wants someone who will ask “why do we do it this way?” and then build something better, more scalable and properly documented.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading process improvement. You’ll review workflows, remove single points of failure, and put scalable processes in place.
  • Driving launches. You’ll manage new software and service rollouts from readiness planning through go-live and post-launch review. You’ll also keep an eye on upcoming device launches across the industry and work with international colleagues so the range is ready on day one.
  • Running customer care operations. You’ll manage support tickets through platforms like Intercom and Zendesk, track performance against KPIs, and turn the trends into product improvements.
  • Being a detective with data. You’ll watch the dashboards for underperforming or inactive retail locations, find out what’s really going on, and fix it.
  • Backing up the field team. You’ll support brand ambassadors and retail partners with technical troubleshooting, and act as the escalation point when an issue can’t be solved remotely.
  • Owning the equipment lifecycle. You’ll manage in-store equipment replacement, refurbishment and collection with the warehouse, with a focus on cutting cost and making the experience smoother for stores.
  • Building training. You’ll create e-learning content for new launches, field issues, onboarding and ongoing skills development.

What you’ll bring

  • A degree in business, operations, product, engineering or similar, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in product operations, operations management or product management. A consumer products background is a big plus.
  • A track record of leading process improvement or rolling out new systems or services
  • Some customer-facing technical support experience. Familiarity with Intercom or Zendesk is a bonus.
  • Strong analytical skills, solid Excel/Word/PowerPoint, and comfort with KPI dashboards
  • Great attention to detail, strong organisation, and clear communication at every level
  • Self-motivation, comfort working autonomously, and a calm approach when priorities shift
  • An additional language would be welcome but isn’t essential

What’s in it for you

  • A salary of around €50,000 plus benefits including bonus, health insurance & pension.
  • A visible, varied role in an international business that’s growing
  • Real ownership, and the chance to leave your mark on how things run
  • Cross-functional exposure to field teams, international colleagues, manufacturing partners and retail partners
