Marketing Manager, Consumer Telco (Acquisition)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Marketing Manager to drive acquisition across this portfolio of consumer telco products and propositions. Working with the marketing leadership team, you will drive growth through your focus on Demand Generation, Direct Marketing, Digital & Retail Initiatives, attracting new customers and maximising commercial opportunities.

What you will do as Marketing Manager:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive acquisition strategies that align with company objectives, market trends, and customer insights.
  • Oversee marketing efforts across retail and partner network – store visual identity and fit-out, roll-out of retail campaigns in-store, collaborating with internal retail sales teams and external franchise partners to optimise retail brand experience and sales.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of direct marketing campaigns across various channels including email, SMS, direct mail, etc. with a clear focus on new development penetration and conversion.
  • Drive demand generation initiatives through targeted campaigns, partnerships, events, and other relevant activities to generate leads and opportunities.
  • Oversee the digital marketing strategy and collaborate with digital marketing teams to optimize online presence, increase visibility, and drive paid and organic traffic through optimization of SEO, Search and Display
  • Develop marketing tactics to upsell additional services or products at the point of sale to new customers, maximizing revenue opportunities across TV, Mobile and other services.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and affiliate relationships to expand reach and acquire new customers through referral programs.
  • Monitor demand and campaign performance, conduct regular analysis, and provide actionable insights to optimize campaigns, improve conversion rates, and achieve acquisition targets.
  • Manage acquisition budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve maximum impact and efficiency. Oversee the overall marketing budget and coordinate monthly reporting between marketing and the finance departments.
  • Collaborate with web development and UX/UI teams to optimize landing pages and conversion funnels, improving conversion rates and overall campaign performance.
  • Work on improvements to the customer journey from awareness to conversion (Lead to Order), identifying touchpoints and opportunities to optimize the acquisition process.
  • Implement lead management processes and systems to capture, track, and nurture leads effectively through the sales funnel.
  • Work closely with sales teams to align acquisition efforts with sales strategies, provide support with lead generation, and ensure seamless handoff of leads.
  • Conduct A/B testing, multivariate testing, and other experiments to optimize campaign elements, messaging, and creative assets for improved performance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR), telecommunications regulations, and advertising standards.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in acquisition marketing to maintain a competitive edge and drive innovation.

Skills required

  • Proven track record of success in marketing acquisition.
  • Strong experience in direct marketing, demand generation, SEO, and other relevant acquisition channels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.  Post-graduate qualification preferred.
  • Commercially astute with a deep understanding of marketing metrics, ROI analysis, and budget management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and drive data-led decision-making.
