Head of Sponsorship Consulting

Headquartered in Dublin this highly successful sponsorship consulting organisation is now embarking on their next phase of growth with the addition of a Head of Sponsorship Consulting. Working with a portfolio of top-tier brands and rights-holders to develop sponsorship opportunities across sports, culture and CSR you will lead the consulting team and report directly to the CEO.

The business continues to grow through retention of a highly prestigious client portfolio and new account wins. Ambitious plans are in place to develop new products and services and to expand into new territories. The purpose of this key role is to lead the consulting function within the organisation, managing project timelines and client relationships, as well as being active on client delivery as needed. The candidate will be responsible for managing and building a team to benefit the world’s leading sponsors and rights holders (sport and non-sport) with the development of their sponsorship and commercial strategies.

We are looking for an exceptional leader for our Dublin-based consulting team who is ready to create extraordinary connections in sport, entertainment and society, built on exceptional intelligence that deliver transformational outcomes.

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with a sharp analytical mind, research capabilities, relationship management skills and experience of the commercial side of sport and entertainment (including music, festivals and the arts).

They will have a passion for partnership building, an open mindset and a deep interest in social issues including sustainability, equality, diversity and inclusion and societal trends including media consumption, digital transformation and the experience economy.

The Head of Sponsorship Consulting will:

  • Manage C-suite client relationships and end-to-end project delivery
  • Manage and develop the consulting team
  • Set up and analysis of research and evaluation projects
  • Management of sponsorship and other commercial strategy projects
  • Identify and follow-through new business opportunities
  • Identify and follow-through product/service development opportunities
  • Member of the Senior Leadership Team


  • Experience of packaging and evaluating the potential and/or impact of sponsorships
  • Ability to identify and articulate relevant trends and case studies in sport and entertainment marketing
  • Outstanding report construction and writing skills
  • Outstanding presentation skills, influencing skills and relationship development/management
  • Experience of advising brands on marketing/sponsorship strategy
  • Experience of managing a small team and developing talent
  • Experience of developing and managing a budget and resource planning
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple internal and external relationships
  • A great team player
