Remote, Europe / Ireland | Regular travel to Ireland
Lead product. Own the business. Shape the future of a global mobile accessories category.
We are working with a global consumer technology business that designs, develops and distributes innovative products across the mobile accessories market. With an international footprint spanning North America, Europe and Asia, the business sells through leading retail and commercial partners across multiple markets.
We are now looking for an exceptional General Manager, Product to lead and scale a strategically important mobile accessories business.
This is a rare opportunity for a senior product leader with strong commercial instincts to take ownership beyond the roadmap. You will shape the product vision, lead the product organisation and, critically, own the commercial performance of the category.
You will have the autonomy to define where the business goes next, translate market and customer insight into a compelling product strategy, and work across commercial, operations, technology and supply chain to turn that strategy into growth.
The role has a particularly strong international focus, with Europe representing a key growth market.
The opportunity
You will have end-to-end responsibility for the category, balancing product, commercial and operational priorities to build a scalable, profitable business.
You’ll be responsible for:
Product & strategy
- Define the product vision and strategy for the category, translating business objectives, customer needs and market opportunities into a clear roadmap.
- Own the product roadmap end to end, from strategy and prioritisation through to delivery and commercialisation.
- Lead product decisions across a connected ecosystem of hardware, consumables, software and retail experience.
- Identify new product and market opportunities and build the business case for investment.
- Balance near-term commercial priorities with longer-term platform and product development.
- Lead and develop the product team, creating clarity around priorities, raising execution standards and supporting individual development.
Business & commercial leadership
- Own the commercial performance and economics of the category, with responsibility for growth, margins and cost structure.
- Set and execute the category strategy across products, channels, partners and markets.
- Shape pricing, channel strategy and go-to-market plans to accelerate growth.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales productivity and improve category economics.
- Understand the competitive landscape and ensure the portfolio is differentiated and positioned to win.
- Present the category strategy, performance and investment priorities to senior leadership, making clear recommendations and taking ownership of the resulting decisions.
International growth
- Drive growth across multiple international markets, with a particular focus on Europe.
- Navigate the different customer expectations, cultures, commercial models and regulatory environments across markets.
- Work closely with regional and global stakeholders to adapt strategy where needed while maintaining a coherent global product direction.
- Identify opportunities to turn differences between markets into competitive advantage.
Cross-functional leadership
- Partner closely with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure product availability, manufacturing and fulfilment are aligned with demand.
- Work across technology, marketing, commercial and operational teams to bring products successfully to market.
- Establish the metrics, operating rhythm and reporting needed to keep the business focused and accountable.
- Ensure the customer experience remains central to product and service decisions.
- Act as a senior advocate for the category across the wider organisation.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a senior product leader who thinks like a GM — someone who is as comfortable discussing customer needs and product roadmaps as they are margins, pricing and commercial performance.
You are likely to bring:
- 10+ years’ experience in product, category or general management, within consumer technology, consumer electronics, mobile accessories, retail technology or a comparable category.
- A proven track record of owning and delivering a product strategy in a complex, international environment.
- Experience leading a product team directly, with a strong record of turning strategy into successful execution.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience with P&L, forecasting, pricing and financial performance.
- Experience working across hardware and software, with an understanding of physical products, consumables and the ecosystems around them.
- A strong understanding of customers, channels and go-to-market within a consumer-facing environment.
- International experience, including significant exposure to European markets.
- The ability to operate comfortably at executive level and influence senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.
- Exceptional strategic and analytical thinking, combined with a strong bias toward action.
- The ability to make decisions in an environment where the answer isn’t always obvious — and then bring people with you.
- A genuine interest in understanding the market, the customer and the product, rather than simply managing a roadmap.
The person we’re looking for
You might currently be a VP/Director of Product, Head of Product, Product GM, Category Director or General Manager in a consumer technology or hardware-led business.
What matters most is that you have owned meaningful product outcomes and can connect product decisions to commercial results.
You’re commercially curious, comfortable with ambiguity and energised by the opportunity to build something rather than simply maintain it. You know how to zoom out and set strategy, but you’re equally comfortable getting into the detail when that’s what the business needs.
You will bring credibility with product and technology teams, but also the commercial judgement and executive presence to represent the business at the highest level.
Why this role?
This isn’t a role where you’ll simply inherit a roadmap.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape the strategy, build the product direction and own the performance of a significant international business.
The category is evolving rapidly, creating opportunities for someone who can connect emerging technology, changing consumer expectations and commercial opportunity — and turn them into products and experiences that win in the market.
For the right person, this is a chance to move beyond traditional product leadership and take genuine business ownership, while still staying close to the product.
Package
The package includes a highly competitive executive-level package, leadership bonus structure, health insurance and pension contribution.
Location
Remote, Europe, with regular travel to the company’s European headquarters in Ireland, expected to be approximately one week per month, alongside additional international travel as required.
